The Huffington Post is a large, UK-wide online-only news providers and therefore differs greatly to my hometown paper - The Forest Journal.
The Forest Journal is the New Forest subsidiary paper of the Salisbury Journal with a much smaller patch compared to its larger paper.
There is no specific website dedicated to the Forest Journal but the Salisbury Journal website use a franchised company website design that was previously used by the Bristol Post.
After embarking on work experience at the Journal, I found out that the website is updated periodically compared to the paper itself which is a weekly paper rather than a daily. The site is updated throughout each day where only the main stories from the week are kept for the main paper in order to keep people buying ht the paper weekly.
Both sites have social networking sites although the same Forest/Salisbury Journal coverage applies. Twitter and Facebook is a prominent resource for Huffington Post and there are many links from the site to their respective social media sites.
